Anna Wilgis, 80, of Laurel Lake, died Thursday in the Meridian Nursing Center.
Born in Poland and formerly of Marcus Hook, she was an area resident for 35 years. Before retiring, Mrs. Wilgis owned and operated Ann's Diner in Marcus Hook. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Millville, the Laurel Lake Property Owners Association and International House of Philadelphia.
Surviving are: a stepdaughter, Ruth Rogers of Pennsylvania; a brother, John Zawada of Drexel Hill, Pa.; and two sisters, Stella Gowers of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Rose Gabuzda of Upper Darby, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Magdalen Church. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday in the Christy Funeral Home.
