Death occurred on Monday last of William Bates, aged 20 years. Deceased had been operated on for appendicitis, later complications set in, and he passed away early Monday morning. Services were held in the Latter Day Saints Church on Wednesday afternoon, after which the remains were conveyed to Temple Hill Cemetery for burial. He was a member of the Raymond Band and much beloved by all the boys. Much sympathy is expressed for the parents in their sad loss. [Raymond Rustler 5 March 1909]
