Ada Lantz Igo passed away at her home at 1516 S. Walnut at 5:45 pm Wednesday after an illness of about two weeks. She was born July 22,1866 in this city and was the daughter of Phillip Sr and Priscilla Webster Lantz. Her father was the founder of the Lantz Bros, firm which was started in September, 1855.
Two sisters, Mrs.Ella Lantz Kendall and Mrs. Rella Lantz Martin and three half brothers, C. P. Lantz, William Lantz and Isaac Lantz and one half sister, Mrs Eliza Couch preceded her in death. She was the last of the original Lantz Family.
She was united in marriage to Samuel A.Igo on April 14, 1886 and leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and one son,Earl Igo, who has been very devoted to her.
She spent her entire life in Shelbyville and was a devoted wife and mother, loved by all her friends for her happy disposition. Her death comes as a shock to her many fiends who mourn her loss.
The funeral of Mrs. Samuel Igo was held from the family residence, South Forth and Walnut streets at 3 oclock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Frank B. Ward. Interment was in Glenwood cemetry.
