Josephine B. Krueger, 88, of Emporia, Kansas, died on November 13, 2012 at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.

Josephine was born on June 2, 1924 in Emporia, the daughter of Emil and Dora Hartz Krueger.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, John Krueger, Albert Krueger, Fred Krueger, Harry Krueger, and an infant brother; sisters, Frances Tsuglis, Ethel Good, Dorothy Hoeh, Martha Sutton, Helen Thornton, and Isabella Matthews.

Jo worked for many years as a Candy Girl at the Kress Building, and later ran the front desk for New Process Laundry. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jo enjoyed crocheting and quilting along with completing word search puzzles.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, with burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Emporia.

The prayer service will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, November 15, 2012, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church may be sent in care of the funeral home.
