Henry was the oldest of three children born to John Otto and Lisette (Bohlmeyer) Schellhorn. He was a farmer, and spent his entire life in the Jefferson and Thayer County areas.

On 27 Sep 1926, he married Dora Weiss, and they had nine children:
Delores, Arnold, Elmer, Leland, Wayne Lee, Leona, Irene (stillborn), Marvin, and Richard.

GLADSTONE--Henry William Schellhorn, 70, died Tuesday in a Fairbury hospital.
He Is survived by five sons, Arnold and Wayne, both of Brighton, Colo., Leland of Daykin, Marvin of Denver, Colo., and Richard of Gladstone; two daughters, Miss Delores Shellhorn of the home and Mrs. Leona Mueller, Seward; one brother, William of Gladstone; and one sister, Miss Lisette Shellhorn, Seward.
His wife preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Nuckojls- Meyer Home for Funerals.
