SIZEMORE, Aaron,
(Private, Company "C" 1st Battalion Alabama Artillery) Died March 01, 1865 at Elmira Military Prison, Elmira New York. Buried in Plot Number 2104 at Woodlawn National Cemetery.

Co C, Gee's Battalion, AL Artillery, enlisted 4 Mar 1861 by Capt J T Gee. POW, captured Ft Morgan on 23 Aug 1864, sent to NY 18 Sep 1864, died 1 Mar 1854, pneumonia.

According to census records between 1830 and 1850, Aaron was probably the 4th of 11 children born to Henry Sizemore & Martha Hyte, both born in SC. His father died in 1856 in Calhoun Co AL and his mother died in 1876 in Talladega Co.

Aaron's identified siblings were Frances. Jemima, William Crockett, Martha, Margaret, Frances, Henry Hampton and Elizabeth Sizemore.

Aaron's father was the 2nd child born to Henry & Abigail Sizemore who died in Gwinnett Co GA. Siblings of Henry's father were George Washington Sizemore, William Sizemore, Thomas Sizemore, Elithy Sizemore Bailey, Mahaney Sizemore, James Sizemore, Ephriam W Sizemore, and Martha "Patsie" Sizemore Skinner.1st Alabama Regiment, Co. C, Artillery
Enlistment Date: 1861/03/04; Enlistment Information: Age 28[?], Alabama, Talladega By J. N. Lavery[?] For J. T. Gee; Bounty due $5.00, bounty paid $5.00 age 28, eyes blue, hair dark, complexion dark, height 6 ft 3 1/4 in
