Helen Martin Helling was born on January 14, 1921 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the daughter of James Martin Sr. and Mamie (Parker). She married Robert J. E. Helling on November 8, 1963 in Olney, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2004.
Helen was a member of the First Church of Olney. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, needlepoint, playing the piano, and in earlier days was an accomplished swing and jitterbug dancer. Helen volunteered regularly at ARC.
She is survived by her stepson, Robert E. Helling of Hartford, IL; Stepson, Dennis Helling and wife Jakalyn of Denver, CO; Stepdaughter, Diane Jansen and husband Leo of Littleton, CO; Son-in-Law, Robert L. Fulk of Olney; Grandchildren, Steve (Jodi) Fulk of Olney, Roger (Kimothy) Fulk of Olney, Tim (Stephanie) Fulk of Olney, Tiffany (Josh Harrison) Fulk of Olney, Andrea (Nick) Schnell of Olney, Stephanie (Shawn) Sutton of Olney, Alan (Amy) Burgener of Marion, IL, Robert B.
