She was the widow of Buford Smith.
Mrs. Smith was retired from The Austin Co. after 40 years of service.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons: Charles Smith and Don A. Smith, both of Greeneville, and William "Bobby" Smith of Mountain City; six grandchildren: Chad Smith, Renee Smith, Marty Smith, Marvin Gibbs, David Gibbs, and Kathey Stewart; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ruby Casteel of Chuckey and Nora Inman of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Katherine Gibbs; and a grandson: Niki Smith.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday evening at Kiser Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in River Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Wayland Fillers will officiate.
Her nephews will be active pallbearers.
Dr. Rufus Breckenridge will be an honorary pallbearer.
