Henry was the 2nd of 8 children born to Christ & Mary Rohr. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church. On October 27, 1930 at Zion he married Hazel Rupert. (Five years after his death, she married Chester Bagg and died in 1986 at York, Nebraska.) They had three children: Dolores, Joan, and Lawrence. Henry died suddenly at the age of 53 from a heart attack.
