Rose Mary "Moe" Pape Dietz was born June 9, 1931, in Evanston, Illinois, the fourth child of Paul Robert Pape and Elizabeth Florence Massmann Pape. Despite suffering from polio as a child, she never let it slow her down the rest of her life. She married Ronald Joseph Dietz on June 13, 1953, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Chicago. She had six children, 16 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She died May 29, 2007.
