SMITHSBURG - Ann T. Allenberg, 74, of Barth Spring Lane, died Monday, July 26, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 23, 1925, in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Elmer Eugene Sr. and Maude Lease Rhoderuck Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Allenberg, in 1997.
She graduated from Frederick High School; and Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
She assisted in the family orchard business. She was a homemaker; and an artist.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Smithsburg and the Wednesday Circle.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Maryland Horticulture Society.
She is survived by two sons, Henry Allenberg and Fred Allenberg, both of Smithsburg; and six sisters, Geraldine Thomas of Hampstead, Md., Agnes Thomas and Margaret Thomas, both of Williamsport, Dorothy Snyder of Hanover, Pa., Evelyn Kefauver of Middletown, Md., and Catherine Thomas of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Thomas and Elmer Eugene Thomas Jr.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 N. Main St., Smithsburg. Pastor Mark Walters will officiate.
