Baptized May 4, 1855 at St. Christophe Catholic Church, Arthabaska, Quebec, Canada, the son of Pierre Bergeron and his wife Dina Provencher. The 1900 census states he was a carpenter, born May 1855 in Canada, immigrated to the U.S. in 1857, and lived at 110 South 13th street in Omaha with his wife Sadie, two stepdaughters, and eight lodgers.

According to his death certificate he died at 2738 Morgan Street in St. Louis, Missouri on October 22, 1905 and was buried in Omaha.

Philip Bergeron well known in Omaha though a resident of St. Louis for the past two years, died in that city last week after a long illness. The remains, were taken to this city for burial, and the funeral was held from St. John's church last Thursday morning. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
