MRS. PLOWMAN, OLD RESIDENT, OBSERVES 82nd BIRTHDAY
Mrs. Lucy Plowman, 603 West Fleshiem Street, one of the oldest residents of the
city from the point of years of residence & age, today is observing her 82nd birthday.
She came to Iron Mountain in 1895 & taught school for many years.

Mrs. Lucy Plowman, 83, resident of Iron Mountain for the last 45 years, died at 3 a.m. this morning at home, 603 West Flesheim Street, after a lingering illness.
She married George Plowman on November 11, 1878, in the same town she was born. They lived there for a few years & then entered the theatrical field, traveling in a stock company for 3 years. She was a talented character actress. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Leaving the stage, they located in Fremont, Michigan & on August 13, 1895, arrived
in Iron Mountain. Survivors are a son, Rex & 3 grandchildren.
