COLESBURG, Iowa - Joann Mary Helle, 77, of Colesburg, died July 4, 2006, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, of an extended illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colesburg, with the Rev. Bob Davies officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation was held on July 6, at Leonard Funeral Home, Edgewood, where there was a scripture service at 8 p.m. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. today at the church.
Surviving are her husband, James Helle, of Colesburg; five children, Barbara (Layton) Hansel, of Greeley, Sharon (Michael) Schmelzer, of Garnavillo, Gordon (LouAnn) Helle, of Elkader, Sandy (Randy) Backes, of Edgewood, and Steve (Shelly) Helle, of Colesburg; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Vincent (Helen) Hogan, of Luxemburg, Jack (Carolyn) Hogan, of Colesburg, and Phil (Deanna) Hogan, of New Vienna; and a sister, Ellen (Laverne) Domeyer, of Petersburg.
