Ray joined his father (John) in the family business of managing the Biebel Supermarket. He remained active in the business of the store until his death in 1996. He was very instrumental in the decision to move the store from its East Mason Street location to Bellevue Street. He was married to his grade school sweetheart, Dorothy (Bouche) Biebel for 61 years. Ray was known for his honesty, decency and sense of justice. He had a love for life and shared himself generously with family and friends. Many considered Ray to be Green Bay's biggest sport fan. He was a legendary card player.
