John R. Butkovich, of 611 Westacres passed away Feb. 3, 1980. Husband of Mrs. Margaret Mary Butkovich. Father of John Michael Butkovich and son of John D. Butkovich, both of Pueblo. Brother of Mrs. Mary Ann DeVries and Joseph Butkovich, Pueblo, and Albert Butkovich, Denver. Father-in-law of Kimberly Ann Butkovich and grandfather of John Henry Butkovich, both of Pueblo. Survived also by brother and sisters-in-law and by numerous nieces and nephews. A lifetime resident of Pueblo, Mr. Butkovich was graduated from Central High School with Class of 1935. He was a veteran of service with the US Army in World War II and a partner in Butkovich Mercantile Co. Member of St. Mary Parish; KSKJ St. Joseph Lodge 7; CFU St. Jacob Lodge 82, and Travelers Protective Association. An assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 19, Wesley United Methodist Church. Mr. Butkovich also was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Holy Name Society and a former member of the St. Mary Church Council. Service, St. Mary Church; Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial m7 p.m. Tuesday; rosary recitation 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment, Roselawn.
