She was a native of Tuscumbia, Alabama and a daughter of the late Alfred and Berdie Haynes Stancell. She had been living here for the past 47 years coming from Florence, Alabama. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist denomination.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Arrington Sr. and a step-son, John David Arrington Jr.
Surviving are step-son, Richard Arrington and wife, Betty of Orlando; daughter-in-law, Shirley Arrington Ogo and husband, Charlie of Smithfield, N.C.; brother, Buddy Stancell of Florence, Ala.; sister, Thelma Stancell Bryant of Florence, Ala.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephew, Jerome Bryant of Bowden, Ga.; twin nieces, Betty Bryant McAdams of Enterprise, Ala. and Nancy Bryant Jackson of Florence, Ala.
Graveside service will be today, 11 a.m. at Oak Hill East Cemetery with Chaplain Al Mazat officiating.
