Born in Fulton, Mrs. Lord had resided in the Fulton and Volney areas most of her life. She had also lived in Haines City, Fla. from 1977 to 2000. She had worked at Nestle Company during the 1930s. Mrs. Lord was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Volney and its Women's Circles. She was also a member of Mount Pleasant Grange in Volney. She was predeceased by her husband, R. Maxwell Lord, who died in 1981.
Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Sachel of Mexico and Linda Yardley of Hendersonville, N.C. Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Volney.
