PEKIN -- Stella L. Faux, 93, of Good Samaritan Nursing Home in East Peoria, formerly of 330 Court Place, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at Pekin Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1905, in Alton to Bill and Mary Jackson, she married Otto Swingle. She later married Frank Faux. Both preceded her in death.
Two sons, Harry Swingle and William Swingle; one daughter, Betty Nearing; one brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Juanita Rupp of Pekin and Wanda Hudson of Creve Coeur; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a cook at several area nursing homes including Hallmark House Nursing Center and Tremont County Home before retiring.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to any charity.
