Gilma grew up in the Wendell area. On Oct. 23, 1926 whe was united in marriage to Howard Baldwin of Elbow Lake. Most of their years together were spent in Hoffman, MN, Buffalo, MN and Big Lake. Gilma loved to cook and they had restaurants in these towns. Their retirement years were spent in Big Lake. They would escapte the cold winters and go to the south where it was warm.
Howard preceded Gilma in death in 1974.
Gilma and Howard were blessed with three children, Roger of Big Lake, Marlys Moores Johnson of Big Lake and Richard of Minneapolis. Gilma had 5 sisters and 3 brothers, of whom 3 sisters and 2 brothers are still living. She also had 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
