Passed away at age 93. He was a native of South Russia. Emigrated to United Stated and farmed in Kansas until 1918 when he moved to Lodi. He continued farming until 1950 when he retired.

He married Louisa Hoerth in 1895 in St. Francis, Kansas.After her death he married Bertha Knutas in 1953.

He is survived by his wife Bertha; daughters Mrs Elsie Schmier and Mrs. Inez Pullman of Lodi; one son Jack Peter of Portland, Or.; one brother Jacob Peter of St. Francis, Kansas;
10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
