==========
John Von Readen was getting senile and spoke only broken English. He'd bought a train ticket and was going to see his daughter Sr Lawrence. He wandered away from the train station and didn't have any luck asking directions to find his way back. They speculate he was following the tracks trying to get back to the station when a train came. Again they speculate he jumped rather than be hit by the train, broke his leg and laid outside all night. He was found the next morning but later died of exposure after being taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
