Edward Powell, son of Robert and Nellie Hitch Powell, was born 6 Dec 1886, at Cleveland, Ohio. On 3 Nov 1908, he married Edith Kubalski (note: between 1910 & 1920, the "Kubalski" family Americanized their name to "Keyes"). Records seem to indicate that Edward and Edith may have separated after raising four children, and they are buried in separate cemeteries. However, it is important to note that Edith's obituary describes her as the beloved wife of Edward Powell.

A resident of Painesville, Ohio, Edward died at age 77 on 2 Oct 1964, at Mentor, Ohio. He was survived by children Robert, Edward, Oliver; and siblings Lillian Burke, Viola Grube, Lonnie, George and Robert Powell.

Edward was preceded in death by daughter Edythe Stroud.

Memorial services were held at the Melbourne Funeral Home, Mentor, Ohio on Oct. 5, followed by interment at Highland Park Cemetery, Highland Hills, a Cleveland suburb.
