Edythe Powell Stroud, daughter of Edward and Edith Kubalski (Keyes) Powell, was born at Cleveland, Ohio in 1913. On 24 Nov 1938, she married Donald Clayton Stroud at Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. (Note: At some point her mother's family changed their name from "Kubalski" to "Keyes.")

A resident of 1150 Hilltop Road, Erie, Pennsylvania, Edythe died 7 Aug 1964, at Cleveland, Ohio. She was survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Mrs. Gordon Schmidt; granddaughter, Kimberley Schmidt; mother, Edith Keyes Powell of North Royalton, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio; father, Edward M. Powell of Painesville, Lake Co., Ohio; and brothers, Edward Powell, Jr. of Riverside, California; Robert Powell of Cleveland, and Oliver Powell of Little Valley, New York.

A memorial service, handled by the Russell S. Schmidt Funeral Home, Erie, Pennsylavania, was held on 10 Aug 1964, followed by interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie.
