Minnie Maude Callan, 91, of San Angelo died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at her home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles with the Rev. Faith Jensen officiating. Visitation will be at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo until early Wednesday morning. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan. Mrs. Callan was born Sept. 5, 1907, in Walnut Springs, the daughter of Ed and Pearlena Boughter. She married Rush Callan on Dec. 20, 1924, in Rotan and lived in Rotan, Springtown and Sweetwater before moving to San Angelo in 1989. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Miles. She is survived by two daughters, Jo Nita Schwarz of Miles and Billie Jean Coldewey of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, R.W. Callan of Rule; a sister, Lucille Montgomery of Burleson; two half sisters, Betty Hagman of Nordman, Idaho, and Emma Summerlott of Pahrump, Nev.; a half brother, Gene Boughter of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan is handling arrangements.
