Bertie Reese Banister, 84, of Doe Run, died November 18, 1989 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 27, 1904 in Elvins to the late John L. Reese and Florence Bailey Reese.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Doe Run and a retired school teacher with the Doe Run School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Joseph Banister; one infant daughter; one brother and one sister.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation begins today after 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Cozean Chapel with Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating. Burial will be in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
