Clarence Joseph Banister, of Belleview Valley in Iron County, was born on August 10, 1907 at Doe Run, a son of the late Quincy McDowell Banister and Emma Katherine Freeman Banister, and passed away at his home on March 7, 1972 at the age of 64 years.

On August 19, 1931 he was united in marriage to Bertie Reese, who survives.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Banister and one sister, Ruth (Mrs. Buford) Haile.

Survivors also include one brother, Henry Lee Banister of Farmington; three sisters, Lucille (Mrs. Frank) DeForest and Ruby (Mrs. Henry) White, both of Farmington, and Imogene (Mrs. Loren) Adams of Burlington, WA.

Chapel service was held on Friday, March 10, 1972 at Cozean Funeral Home by the Rev. J.Loren Jolly. Interment was in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
