Baptism record for Charlotte Emily Hemsworth - Valcartier (Church of England), Lake Beauport, Québec, Canada - "Charlotte Emily, daughter of John Hemsworth of Lake Beauport, School Teacher and Mary Ann, his wife, by her maiden name Hemsworth, was born in Quebec, on the 28th day of May and was baptized on the 17th day of July in 1859."

In 1861, Mary Hemsworth, aged 42, was shown living in Sainte Dunstan, Quebec, with husband, John Hemsworth, aged 52, and children, Grace, aged 21, and Crump Hemsworth, aged 14. The family was shown living in a one-story log home. There was one death shown in the family, a 19 month old who died of croup.

In 1871, Maryann Hemsworth, aged 52, was shown living in Cleveland, Richmond, Quebec, with husband, John Hemsworth, aged 61, a pensioner, and children, Lucy, aged 23, and John Hemsworth, aged 20.

Mary Ann Hemsworth, wife of the late John Hemsworth of the Village of Richmond, School Teacher, aged sixty-two years, died on the seventh, was buried on the ninth day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one. By Mr. Isaac M. Thompson, Rector, in the presence of Alex Colclough and Joseph Jewell.

According to the baptism record for her daughter, Charlotte Emily, her maiden name was also Hemsworth. There is no marker for this grave.
