Douglas J. "DJ" Riker, 25, of Strasburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at LGH.

Born February 27, 1987 in Lancaster, he was the son of Mary Jo (Everett) Rudy married to Glenn of Lancaster and the late Douglas J. Riker, Jr. (2008). DJ was a member of the Pequea Valley Sportmans Association and was a motorcycle and tattoo enthusiast. He also was a Steelers and Flyers fan. DJ was thought of as a great friend, father and son.

Surviving in addition is a daughter, Makenzie Nicole Riker; a sister, Nicole Riker; two step-sisters, Meagen Rudy, Sheree Beveridge; paternal grandparents, Frank J. Jr. and Geraldine Karpinsky with whom he resided; a paternal grandfather, Douglas J. Riker, Sr., of Lancaster; a maternal grandfather, Joseph Everett, of Millersville; a paternal great-grandmother, Mary Benner, of Lancaster; two aunts, Paula married to James Krout and Cheryl Everett as well as extended family and caring friends. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Wilma Everett (1996) and a step-sister, Crystal Rudy (2007).

Funeral Services will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11 AM (Viewing 9:30-11AM).
