Douglas James Riker, Jr., age 37, of Strasburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at his residence.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Frank J., Jr. and Geraldine Benner Karpinsky.
Douglas was employed at High Steel, High Concrete and Smucker Roofing.
He was a huge Philadelphia Flyer fan and a motorcycle enthusiast. He was devoted to his children. Douglas was thought of as a great friend, father and son.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Douglas J. Riker, fiance of Amanda, Lancaster, a daughter, Nicole Riker, Lancaster, a maternal grandmother Mary Benner, Lancaster and Douglas Riker, Sr., Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather Jere Benner.
