DARLINGTON - Graveside services for Mrs. Julia Ann Coe Alston of Darlington will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc.

Mrs. Alston departed this life on Thursday, October 11, 2012. Julia Ann was born on October 31, 1948. She was the daughter of Mrs. Annie Lee Coe and the late Marion Coe, Jr. Julia Ann was a life-long member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and served faithfully in the Women's Choir and in numerous other capacities. She was a graduated of the 1966 class of Mayo High School and the South Carolina Area Trade School, Denmark Branch, Denmark, SC. Julia Ann was a cosmetologist for 19 years and retired from Darlington County Bank after 26 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memories are: her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Julius Alston, II; her mother, Mrs. Annie Lee Coe, Darlington, SC; daughter, Jada C. Alston, Charlotte, NC; two sons, Captain Julius (Lenair) Alston, III, Cleveland, OH and Jonathan N. (Jennifer) Alston, Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Lauren Baker; brothers, Earl S. (Linda) Coe and Marion Coe, III, Darlington, SC; sisters, Dr. Cynthia A. Coe, Gonzales, LA and Vera I. Coe, Dallas, TX.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00-8:00PM this evening in the funeral home chapel, and at other times, the residence, 725 Willowtree Road, Darlington.

Viewing of Mrs. Alston will only take place at the funeral home.
