She was born in Chelsea on March 22, 1937, a daughter of George and Mildred E. Blair Huntington. Elsie drove a taxi in Randolph when she was young. She waitressed most of her working career in local restaurants for many years. She moved to Belfast in 1994, residing there for the past 12 years.
She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Baitler, and is survived by four brothers, Cedric Huntington of Orange, Calif., Arthur Huntington of Jefferson, Ivan Huntington of Lincoln and Manley Huntington of Farmington; a sister, Helen Hinkley of Windsor; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Gardiner. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
