BRUNS Ralph L. Ralph L. Bruns, age 89, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born January 22, 1922, in Genoa, OH, to Harry and Florence (Hensiek) Bruns. Ralph married Ruth Burkemyer on December 29, 1948, in Pemberville, OH and she survives. He was employed as a laborer at Ohio Lime, Woodville, OH, retiring in 1987. Ralph was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and its dartball team and also Freedom American Legion Post # 183 both of Pemberville, OH. Ralph proudly served during WWII in the United States Army Air Corp. In his spare time Ralph enjoyed reading history books and working in his garden. Surviving along with his wife: Ruth; are children, Judy Yahle of Kettering, OH, Richard Bruns of Perrysburg, OH, Jerry (Elaine) Bruns of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Van Vorhis, Emily (Kevin) Genson, Heidi (Ryan) Dulaney, Lindsey (Aaron) Kriekel, Katrina (Ryan) Wapplehorst, Erik Bruns and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Connie Bruns; son-in-law, Patrick Yahle; 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 11 AM from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, OH, where there will be additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Musteric. Interment will be in Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Consideration for memorial contributions are: Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice - Fremont, OH.
