She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Shannon; one son, Terry Hoyt Acres; and two sisters, Faith Eads and Virginia Cawood.
A native of Oneida, she was a graduate of the old Louisville Girls High School; co-owner of the old PDQ Printing; and was a member of the Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hoit Acres; one daughter, Anna R. Cann; one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, Henderson Eads, Sr., and Dr. Walter L. Cawood; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
