Shirley Darlene Kidd, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, returned to her Heavenly Father, October 15, 2004. Born January 11, 1930, Salt Lake City, Utah to Grant Lee and Olive Marie Workman Snow. Married Bobby E. Kidd on August 27, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. Graduated from Stevens Henager College. She enjoyed working at LDS Hospital as a nurses aid and clerk. Member of the LDS Church serving in many callings. She enjoyed camping in the Uintah mountains with her family. Our Mother . . . One so dear On a January day - Came to earth For a brief but sweet stay. A handsome sailor Stole her heart. From that day forth, They were never apart. Their love brought children - Short and tall, Through many trials, They handled it all. The bonds of parenthood, Thorns of loss, Caused hearts to weaken, They bore their cross. Two sons in Heaven Built a house of love, For their sweet mother in the Heavens above. So now she's there, So don't provoke- She's healed, She's happy, Having a diet Coke. Survived by husband, children, Linda Shaw; Colleen (Emery) Potzernitz; Susan Kidd; Brenda (Ronnie) Lamb; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Jay (Lois) Snow; sister, Nancy (Van) Neilson and sister-in-law, Lorna Snow. Preceded in death by two sons, Scott and Wayne; and an infant daughter, Barbara Lynn; brother, Lee Snow. Funeral services held, Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at the Brighton 1st Ward Chapel, 2929 E.
