citizen of Cass county, died, Tuesday,
at the home of his son, Joseph Burley,
in White county. The remains
were brought to Logansport yesterday,
and the funeral occurred this
afternoon from the residence of his
grandson, Willard Burley, in Noble
township. Interment was made in
the Bookwalter cemetery.
The deceased was 96 years of age
and settled in Carroll county, on the
farm from which he was burled, in
1844. His wife died in 1865. He
leaves two sons and three daughters.
His daughters are: Mrs. Hildebrandt,
of Delphi; Mrs. Shideler, of
Missouri, and Mrs. Foust, of Kansas.
His sons are: Joseph Burley, of White
county,a former well-known carpenter
of this city, and Thornton Burley,
of Kansas.
