Uncle Bill was the son of David William and Daisy Irene Latham Fulford and was born in Hoosierville, Clay Co., IN but was raised in Brazil, IN. The family moved to Carter County, MO where "Uncle Bill" met his future bride, "Aunt Annie" (Annabelle Smith) whom he married in St. Louis on February 1, 1942. They had 3 daughters: Carolyne Ann, Deborah Lynn, and Rebekah Sue.
He was a long-distance truck driver for many years, retiring from that occupation in the 1980s and returning with his wife Annabelle to Ellsinore, MO to live. Uncle Bill served as Mayor of that town for over 7 years before his death in an auto accident in 2007. Aunt Annie celebrated her 94th birthday on March 1, 2018.
His paternal grandparents were George W. Fulford (George Washington) and Margaret Alice Ballinger Fulford.
His maternal grandparents were
John F. Latham and Martha L. V. Gibbens Latham.
I always LOVED visiting Uncle Bill and Aunt Annie over the years and just chatting about things going on around Ellsinore, discussing various life issues or just reminiscing about days gone by. It's still a joy doing the same with Aunt Annie who will be 95 on Mar. 1, 2019.
