William Melton, 75, of Evansville, died at 1:30 a.m. today at Deaconess Hospital.


Mr. Melton retired from the military, having served during World War II.


Surviving are sons: Jimmy of Germany, and Steve and Bobby both of Evansville; brothers, Bryan of Evansville and Ray Melton of Newburgh; and several grandchildren.


Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel- Franklin & Heidelbach, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
