Mary Ellen Webb was was the daughter of Waller Webb (1776-1854) and Hannah E (Young) Webb (1785-1855).

Mary died on 22 Aug 1854 from Typhoid fever, an outbreak of which affected many citizens in Henry County, KY. It is believed that Mary's daughter, Rebekah also died from Typhoid fever only one month earlier than her mother.

Mary's 2nd husband, Russell Monroe Smith died 3 days after Mary died, on 25 Aug 1854, most likely from Typhoid Fever. Russell was buried with his first wife, Elizabeth Ballard , who died in 1850, and both are buried in the Smith Cemetery #1, Pendleton, Henry, Kentucky, USA

Mary is buried in the Webb Cemetery #1, Hwy 421, Henry, Kentucky with her first husband, Charles Rector Kincheloe. Their daughter, Rebeckah, is buried between them. Mary's headstone is broken, but still remains upright.
