Mary Elizabeth Cersosimo, 83, a retired machine operator died, suddenly, Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA. Mary was born in Medford and educated in Malden Schools. When she completed school she went to work as a waitress for Chickland Restaurant of Saugus for several years before going to work for Transitron of Wakefield and Melrose as a machine operator for 21 years retiring in 1979. She was a resident of Malden for over 65 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia E. Trickett of Byfield, her sons, Joseph V. Cersosimo of HI, Richard M. Cersosimo, of CA and Robert J. Cersosimo of VA, her sisters, Gertrude E. Overlan of Malden, and Margaret A. Smith of CA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great �grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent R. Cersosimo and her sister Sarah A. Donnelly of Malden.
She was born July 22, 1917 in Medford, MA the daughter of the late Miles S. and Kathleen (Watts) Wilder.
Visitation will be held at Weir Mac Cuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at the Weir Mac Cuish Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
