Louise Bartels (nee Titkemeier) was born in Clatonia, Gage county, Nebraska, January 8th, 1889, where she was also baptized and was confirmed in Wilcox, Kearney county, Nebraksa.
On October 14th, 1909, she entered into the holy estate of matrimony with Charlie Bartels of Campbell, Franklin county, Nebraska. Four children were born into their union, 2 daughters and two sons. One son having preceded her in death.
After a long illness, she departed this life, May 3, 1928, Thursday afternoon at 1:25 having attained the age of 39 years, 3 months and 27 days. The cause of her death being Bronco-Pneumonia (sic).
She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband, two daughters Esther and Laura, and one son Theodore. Also her parents, four sisters, four brothers, (one sister preceded her in death) and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 6th at her home at 2:00 P.M. followed by services at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, in the German and English languages. Interment was made in the Evangelical Lutheran cemetery, Wilcox, Nebrask. (sic)
