Barbara Haas was the 6th child born to Martin Haas and Salome Sarah (Zwilling) Haas... She was married first to Frances "Frank" Wilmas on October 22, 1861 in St. Louis, Missouri. Barbara and Frank had two sons: Francis "Frank" Wilmas (1862-1898) and Edward Wilmas (1864-1945)... After her first husband Frank Wilmas passed away on January 27, 1865 she than married Philip "George" George Preiss on January 21, 1868 in St. Louis, Missouri... This was the 2nd marriage for both Barbara and George Preiss... Barbara and George Preiss had five children together: Mathilda Preiss (1869-1949), Albert Ferdinand Preiss (1871-1950), Pauline Christine Preiss (1874-1930), Karl Jacob Preiss (1876-1880), & Ella Barbara Preiss 1879-1909)... Barbara and George Preiss were active members of the Zion Evangelical Church later known as Parkway United Church of Christ in St. Louis, Missouri and many of there relation is buried in the cemetery nearby (Elm Lawn Cemetery) as well as Parkway United Church of Christ has many listing of the Preiss family in there records from baptisms to births and deaths...
