Funeral services will be Tuesday at the tuscaloosa Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Guy Hunt and Elder Joe Burcham officiating. Burial will be in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing arrangements.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Emma Allen of Cottondale; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Beck of Northport and Mrs. Linda Gilmore of Cottondale; a brother, Borden Allen of Tuscaloosa; a sister, Mrs. Venola Pritchett of Cottondale; five grandchildren and other relatives.
Active pallbearers will be Lowell Maze, Gary Hall, Jimmy Jones, Billy Herring, Jerry Jones and Gene Pate.
Honory pallbearers will be members of the Tuscaloosa Primitive Baptist Church, members Local 455, I. A. of M., elders of the Mount Zion Association, Dr. William Hawkins, Dr. Albert Tatum, Leroy Beck, Lester Cobb, Willie Herd, Pelham Herron, Walter Burchfield, friends and neighbors of Cottondale, nurses and staff of West Alabama General Hospital and Clyde Jones.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Memory Chapel.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
