"Jeanetta" Fisher spent the early years of her youth in Keya Paha County, Nebraska, and about 1916, as an orphaned teenager, moved into the home of her maternal grandparents, Oliver and Emma (Gilmore) Hollenbeck, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She had one daughter with her husband, Walter Beck, a brick and tile construction worker whom she married at Liberty, Clay County, Missouri, on May 30, 1925. The Becks lived briefly in Southern California early in their marriage, but returned to Clay County, Missouri, making their home at Excelsior Springs and Kearney. Jeanetta was the longtime owner and operator of Jeanetta's Beauty Shop in Excelsior Springs. She died at 85.
