Nadja was a teenager when the Nazi's took over Poland. It was her dream to go live in Palestine as a free Jew. Her dream was cut short when she along with her mother and brother were sent to Treblinka where they perished. Nadja could have been spared (at least temporarily) because she had a work card but refused to leave her family. Nadja was 19 years old.
