Rudolph Roesler was baptized on June 21, 1896 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wiedeville, Washington Co., Texas. He attended Needville HS and served in WW I in the US Army (American Expeditionary Forces) in France. He was a member of the Immanuel E & R Lutheran Church, Needville, Fort Bend Co., Texas from 1906-1993. A member of the American Legion (1919-1993) and the Sons of Hermann. He worked as a farmer and a carpenter. He was married twice. First to Linda Rosenbaum (1921-1931) and they had four sons. She died after child birth in 1931. He married Elsie Ann Duesterhoft on June 03, 1936 at Immanuel E & R Lutheran Church, Needville, Fort. Bend Co., Texas. They lived together in the Roesler home place until her death in 1990.
