Israel Schell died at his home five miles west of Clark's Hill at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, of cancer of the stomach, after an illness extending over several months. Mr Schell was born in West Virginia, fifty-seven years ago, and had been a resident of this county for the past thirteen years. Surviving are his widow and a son, Wade Schell, and a daughter, Mary Schell. The funeral will be held from the family home a 2 o'clock this afternoon, and interment will be made in the Concord cemetery. (Lafayette, Indiana Morning Journal, Tuesday, June 24, 1919)
