Erlene was my aunt. Only sister to my mother, Florence. She was the eldest child of William H. and Elsie Thomas. Born on the family farm, May 2, 1924 near Holland, Minnesota. Married Harm Heidebrink on September 28, 1945. In this union, they had five children; Dennis, Gary, Jeannie, Joan, and Laird. They lived and farmed near Holland, Minnesota and farmed near Scandinavian Lake in Pope County, Minnesota. In 1966 they moved their home into Swift Falls, Minnesota. There is where Erlene remained living until her death. She lost her battle to cancer on January 9, 1992.
She always had a warm inviting smile, and was a very good cook.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her son Dennis.
