FREULER-NAY, Lucille Mahoney Age 91, passed away August 3, 2000 in Petaluma. Lucille was born September 23, 1908 in Petaluma of pioneering parents, John and Pearl Mahoney. After graduating from Petaluma High School she attended Mills College and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. A firm believer in lifelong education, she received her Masters in Social Welfare and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Lucille was closely involved in the Garden Club and Readers Forum. She was a member of the Petaluma Womens Club, A.A.U.W. and Sacks Hospice. Lucille is preceded in death by her son, Jon Freuler and husband, Brigadier General Herbert C. Freuler USMC. She is survived by her husband, William Nay, daughter, Anne Suzanne Loring of Edmonds, Washington, son, Oliver L. Stanley (Dick) of Beaufort, South Carolina and Nan and Chan Cho of San Leandro and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her sister, Blanch Helgren and brother, Herold Mahoney. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Mervyn Mahoney of Centralia, Washington and an extensive expanded family.
