Mr. Griego was born in Corrales on May 24, 1909. His early youth was spent in Casa Salazar in the Rio Puerco Valley. Later to Corrales and Albuquerque.
He enjoyed bingo and was an avid bowler with the Grandmas and Grandpas League at Leisure Bowl, and with the Highland Seniors at Holiday Bowl until he was 87.
He was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad.
Mr. Griego was preceded in death by his daughters, Lugie Gonzales and husband, Paul, and grandchildren, Dorothy, Steve, Eileen, Matthew, and Chris; daughter, Mary ann Mora and husband, Billy and grandchildren, Ralph, William, Vincent, Mark, Paulette, and Michael; daughter, Virginia Luna and husband, Manuel and grandchildren, Manny, Ancilla, Antonio, and Adrian; daughter-in-law, Betty Griego and grandchildren, Bonnie, Gene, Shirley, and Leonard; and 22 great-grandchildren.
